The day-trip cabin at Kvilehaugen opened in December 2022 and is fantastically located on Kvilehaugen, just above Jelsa Oppvekstsenter. Here you can take a breather on your way up to Junkervarden, or make the cabin your destination in itself.
The cabin has its own small library, and wool socks are available to borrow for cold feet.
Ask our kitchen, and they will prepare a delicious packed lunch for you.
Jelsa Church was completed in 1647, but its history stretches all the way back to the Viking Age, when Jelsa served as a gathering point for religious offerings.
Jelsa is Ryfylke's best-preserved coastal village and has been voted the most idyllic place in Rogaland. Here, you can wander among old neighborhoods and white wooden houses.
